Weapon Animation Validation #15 M1A1 Thompson Aim Down Sights Validation
We’ve completed another weapon animation validation test for the Heroes & Generals Unreal Engine 5 Rebuild.
This prototype focuses specifically on the M1A1 Thompson aim down sights animation, including ADS transition timing, sight alignment, hand movement, weapon positioning, pacing, synchronization, and overall first person weapon feel.
What This Test Covers:
M1A1 Thompson aim down sights animation
ADS transition timing
Sight alignment
Hand movement and stability
Weapon positioning
Transition from hip fire to ADS
Weapon stability while aiming
Overall pacing and first person feel
The side by side comparison uses original H&G reference footage alongside the current prototype animation, aligned for timing and visual comparison.
These animation tests may be shown either directly from animation software or from Unreal Engine, depending on the current stage of testing.
This is not a visual showcase. The weapon, arms, rig, textures, and other presentation elements are placeholders.
The goal is to validate weapon animations for the weapons currently planned for the Heroes & Generals Rebuild vertical slice before they are integrated into the full prototype environment.
Result:
The aim down sights sequence follows the expected structure and pacing.
ADS transition timing and sight alignment closely match the original reference.
Hand and weapon movement remain consistent with the intended H&G feel.
Weapon positioning and sight stability read clearly from a first person perspective.
The M1A1 Thompson aim down sights animation is considered successfully validated at the prototype stage.
