Movement Validation #11 Run-Crouch

We’ve completed the run to crouch transition validation test for Heroes & Generals.

This prototype focuses specifically on analyzing how player movement behaves when transitioning from a sprinting state into crouch, including momentum carry, transition responsiveness, and overall grounded movement feel.

What This Test Covers:

Run → crouch transition behavior

Momentum carry during transition

Transition responsiveness and pacing

Grounded movement and weight feel

Positional stability after entering crouch

The side by side comparison uses original H&G reference footage alongside the current Unreal prototype build, aligned at the start of the transition for consistency.

This is not a visual showcase. Animations, assets, and presentations are placeholders. Only minimal first person animation is present in this test.

The goal is to validate that Heroes & Generals’ run to crouch transition behavior can be reproduced faithfully in Unreal Engine.

Result:

Momentum carry behavior matches expected movement.

Movement retains grounded, weight based feel.

Run to crouch transition is considered validated.
