Weapon Animation Validation #1 Maschinenpistole 40 Reload
We’ve completed the first weapon animation validation test for Heroes & Generals.
This prototype focuses specifically on the Maschinenpistole 40(mp40) reload animation, including total reload duration, hand placement, magazine handling, weapon movement, pacing, synchronization, and overall first person weapon feel.
What This Test Covers:
Maschinenpistole 40 reload animation
Total reload duration
Timing of each reload action
Magazine removal and insertion
Hand placement and movement
Weapon positioning
Overall pacing and first person feel
The side by side comparison uses original H&G reference footage alongside the current prototype animation, aligned for timing and visual comparison.
These animation tests may be shown either directly from animation software or from Unreal Engine, depending on the current stage of testing.
This is not a visual showcase. The weapon, arms, rig, textures, and other presentation elements are placeholders.
The goal is to validate weapon animations for the weapons currently planned for the vertical slice before they are integrated into the full prototype environment.
Result:
The reload sequence follows the expected structure and pacing.
Overall animation duration aligns closely with the original reference.
Hand and weapon movement remain consistent with the intended H&G feel.
Magazine handling and synchronization are reading clearly from a first person perspective.
The Maschinenpistole 40 reload animation is considered successfully validated at the prototype stage.
