Movement Validation #9 Run-Prone

We’ve completed the run to prone transition validation test for Heroes & Generals.

This prototype focuses specifically on analyzing how player movement behaves when transitioning from a running state into prone, including momentum carryover, transition feel, and overall movement grounding.

What This Test Covers:

Run → prone transition behavior

Forward momentum carryover during drop

Transition commitment and responsiveness

Grounded motion and weight feel

Positional stability after entering prone

The side by side comparison uses original H&G reference footage alongside the current Unreal prototype build, aligned at the start of the transition for consistency.

This is not a visual showcase. Animations, assets, and presentations are placeholders. Full character animation blending is not included in this test.

The goal is to validate that Heroes & Generals’ run to prone transition behavior can be reproduced faithfully in Unreal Engine.

Result:

Momentum carryover behavior matches expected movement.

Transition retains grounded, weight based feel.

Run to prone transition is considered validated.
