Movement Validation #12 Crouch-Walk
We’ve completed the crouch-walk movement validation test for Heroes & Generals.
This prototype focuses specifically on analyzing how player movement behaves while crouch walking, including movement speed, pacing, responsiveness, and overall grounded movement feel.
What This Test Covers:
Crouch-walk movement behavior
Crouch movement speed
Movement pacing and consistency
Directional responsiveness
Grounded movement and weight feel
The side by side comparison uses original H&G reference footage alongside the current Unreal prototype build, aligned at the start of movement for consistency.
This is not a visual showcase. Animations, assets, and presentations are placeholders. No animations are used in this test.
The goal is to validate that Heroes & Generals’ crouch-walk movement behavior can be reproduced faithfully in Unreal Engine.
Result:
Crouch-walk speed closely matches expected behavior.
Movement retains grounded, weight based feel.
Crouch-walk movement behavior is considered validated.
